The seminar will quickly and critically review the motivations for Weakly Interacting Massive Particles as Dark Matter candidates, and the status of the searches. It will then focus on specific models (pure WIMPs) and review the recent developments, from the theoretical and experimental points of view. As for any title with the question mark, the answer of course is "no", but (as we will see) barely.
