Description
The 9th International dCache workshop is an event in a series of workshops, meant to build and maintain an active dCache community and to strengthen the relationship between dCache system administrators and dCache developers. We will will have many very interesting topics, amongst them dCache and Elastic search Logstash Kibana (ELK), some interesting HowTos and a very interesting concepts, where dCache is used in industry to create products that might also be interesting to T1 and T2 centres. Also dCache and ownCloud will be a topic during this year. Last but not least we will have lively discussions on where to go next and present how far we have gotten with our roadmap. This year's workshop is organised by dCache.org and the dCache German support group.

An Http ecosystem for HEP and scientific data access 30m
The support of HTTP/WebDAV, provided by frameworks for scientific data access like DPM, dCache, STORM, FTS3 and XROOTD, is very advanced and shows its flexibility as it approaches the needed level of maturity. In this talk we discuss its technical status, together with some of the initiatives that explore the HTTP/WebDAV ecosystem in HEP production setups. These include access from the ATLAS infrastructure, efficient bridging of authentication/authorization domains, supporting volunteer computing, creating very large storage federations, consistency checks, and integrating S3 storage from various providers.

Endit - The Efficient Northern Dcache Interface to TSM 30m
The Efficient Northern Dcache Interface to TSM - or Endit - is a dCache HSM interface using TSM in archive/retrieve mode. Since last introduced at the dCache workshop in Aachen in 2009, Endit has been rewritten into a native dCache HSM provider rather than launching a script per file, and there has also been work to enable efficient use of multiple tape drives for reading. The presentation will cover concepts to code to benchmarks to experience from production.

      dCache and DDN 15m
TRIUMF recently reduced its infrastructure and administrative footprint by replacing a 5 year old attached storage subsystem with a DDN embedded dCache system. Our traditional 1.5 PB storage subsystem consisted of 21 4U servers requiring multiple racks. Using a DDN® SFA® 12KXE system we commissioned 1.6 PBs running on eight dCache virtual nodes in half a rack. This embedded dCache system provides significant savings in data center space, power and cooling costs over traditional architectures without losing performance we had. We summarize our experience so far with this embedded dCache system.
