DESY Hamburg

Description
DESY Hamburg is in the process of setting up an IaaS computing platform (OpenStack) to simplify the use of IT resources for its customers. As many sites, somehow associated to DESY, are planing similar installations or are already operating virtualized computing, storage and network infrastructures, the Scientific Computing Group is organizing a small workshop to learn from those efforts. The first part, from 14:00 to 16:00 (by invitation only), is meant to allow IaaS providers to exchange experiences. The second half, from 16:00 to 18:00 starts with a presentation by Ricardo Rocha from CERN, on CERNs Open Stack experiences, and is followed by a discussion between IaaS providers and possible DESY customers. The second half is public.
