Description
The difference between the theoretical and experimental determinations of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon amounts to about three standard deviations, and forthcoming experiments will significantly improve the experimental accuracy. The uncertainty on the theory side is dominated by the hadronic contributions. I review the status of lattice QCD calculation of these contributions, with a particular focus on the hadronic light-by-light contribution.
