Accommodation and Transportation
Please take care of your hotel reservation yourself. We recommended hotels in Dresden near the main railway station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof) because of the good public traffic connections. Below you find recommendable hotels:

From Dresden airport the hotels can be reached with the shuttle train “S-Bahn S 2” (single ticket Preisstufe 1, 2.30 EUR) or by bus and tram.
From the main railway station the best public traffic connection to HZDR is the bus line no. 261 (final destination “Sebnitz”). The bus stop is at the railway station opposite the main gate (street B 170). The single ticket price (Preisstufe 1) is 2.30 EUR. The buses run every hour ( at 08:15, 09:15 am). It is just the right time for a pleasant stroll through the traditional Dresden Striezelmarkt on Thursday afternoon before our welcome dinner or on Friday evening after the workshop on the Altmarkt square. From the hotels it is a 10 min walk through the pedestrian zone Prager Straße.
