Description
On the next international doctoral students meeting the topic will be "Transpareny of scientific data" and takes places on the 23rd of March, 18:00 o'clock at ESA West. We are happy to welcome Prof. Peter Schleper from DESY and Prof. Stefan Bühler of the Metherological Institute. Both professors handle big data on a daily basis which imposes new challenges. This evening is moderated by Prof. Ingenuin Gasser, the Vice Dean of Internationalization and Support for Young Researchers. We invite you to use this opportunity to ask the two professors questions regarding the following topics: How is big data made available and how can it be backed-up? Can all cooperation partners or other scientists easily access this data? What are the motivations for different ways of handling the data?
Invited to this meeting are all doctoral students of the MIN Faculty.
Time: 18 - 19:30, follow-up by a reception with finger food in the foyer.
The meeting will be held in English.
Registration is not required, but your registration in Geventis will make the planning of the catering easier for us. However, spontaneous doctoral students without registration are welcome as well!
