Description
The MicroTCA board DRTM-PZT4 is a 4-channel piezo driver RTM board and is currently used in many scientific installations.
Since it generates +-100V high voltage on board, it falls into a category where product safety is a major concern for commercialization.
In order to analyze potential risks DESY seeked the help of a professional company. During the process the board was re-designed to meet EN61010-1 requirements. The talk will explain the lessons learnt on safety aspects of MicroTCA boards and present the new DRTM-PZT4 board.
