Description

Several intriguing deviations from Standard Model expectations have been observed in flavor-violating processes in the last few years, most notably hints for violation of lepton flavor universality, both in neutral-current B meson decays involving light leptons and in charged-current B meson decays involving tau leptons. I will give an overview of the status of these deviations and discuss possible interpretations within and beyond the Standard Model.
