The SCS User Workshop will focus on the specific operation conditions expected for Early User Experiments. It is ideally addressing potential users that intend to submit a project to the SCS instrument in one of the first calls for proposals. The meeting aims at opening up opportunities for discussion and setting up collaborations for early experiments. Scientists wishing to acquire a general knowledge about our instruments, the present status of the facility and the unique capabilities of the instruments in steady operation, are encouraged to attend our Users’ Meeting on 24-26 January 2018 in Hamburg, which will also allow discussion with our scientists and obtaining useful information for future beam time proposals. Please note that the number of participants is limited. Unfortunately, we have to reserve the right to confirm each registration received before the deadline on the basis of the relevance of the registrants’ research interests. As a consequence, please do not make any travel or accommodation arrangements until you have a formal confirmation from the User Office of the European XFEL that your registration is final. Deadline for registration: 05 February 2018 Notification of final registration: 06 February 2018 at the latest Please note the registration form to the SCS instrument information mailing list to which updates will be sent - on this web page: https://www.xfel.eu/organization/scientific_and_technical_groups/index_eng.html
