Description
Walking behavior in gauge theories and weakly first order phase transitions in statistical models are two cases where a system exhibits approximate scale invariance. I will explain how these two phenomena can be thought of in terms of RG flows passing close to CFTs with complex couplings. I will consider as an explicit example the two dimensional Potts model to show that our proposal agrees with known results and allows the computation of new quantities.
