Description
This workshop aims to strengthen the scientific exchange between Information and DMA (Matter) in general and identify areas of common interest and in particular common challenges which could be more successfully tackled in a cooperative effort.

INFORMATION Talk 5: Data reduction in the cloud // Instrument and experiment specific software development30m
If instruments generate so much data that users cannot
take them home, or if users are not able to install software
on their own computers, then the solution could be to offer
data reduction and analysis as a service on a cloud server.
For efficient operation of user facilities like JCNS,
data reduction and analysis software must be consolidated,
made more user friendly, and adapted to ever new scientific
needs.
