Description
Parton branching algorithms are at the heart of analytic resummation in direct QCD, and have been a key design criterion behind parton shower algorithms using the concept of QCD coherence. I will introduce novel evolution equations which are able to describe the resummation of observables beyond those covered by coherent parton branching. These equations describe evolution at the amplitude level and can systematically be expanded around the large-N limit. I will also discuss details on Monte Carlo implementations and possible convergence issues before presenting some recent work on new sampling algorithms addressing these issues.
