Description
Parallel computing in HEP is regarded as exotic and
unnecessary (at best). I will
talk about the
recent BaBar D0 mixing results and how parallel computation
helped. I will also
illustrate that
parallel computing will be the only way to take advantage of
the upcoming "many-core"
CPUs.
