Ultra-light scalar bosons can contribute to relic DM density through misalignment. However coupling ultralight scalars to SM fermions can generate the misalignment, relating the relic DM density to the scalar coupling strength to fermions. We find that Planck suppressed interactions between fermions and scalar can naturally give rise to the required DM density. In this talk we will discuss the generation of the misalignment through coupling with fermions and existing and future constraints which will confirm or rule out our model.
