Hamburg Photon Science Colloquium | Quantum interfaces between atoms, solids and light

by József Fortágh (Universität Tübingen, Germany)

Europe/Berlin
Description

Interfacing ultra-cold atoms and superconductors promises novel quantum interfaces where electronic or magnetic degrees of freedoms may be transferred from one system to the other while preserving the quantum nature. I present experimental results on the interaction of ultra-cold atoms with superconducting circuits and discuss the perspectives for quantum information processing.
