Description

Since 2017, dedicated set ups for x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) and x-ray resonant magnetic reflectometry (XRMR) have been developped at the resonant scattering and diffraction beamline P09 at PETRA III.

In order to enable the users of these 2 techniques to make on-the-fly decisions during experiments, I have developed a software tool to speed up data visualization and analysis.

As of now, this new software tool supports sum rule analysis of XMCD data, as well as the processing and plotting of XRMR data. An additional add-on is pending which will allow to extract the optical constants fit parameters for the XRMR analysis from x-ray absorption spectra. In my talk, I will introduce both XMCD and XRMR, and present the status of this software-GUI.
