We, the graduate school Data Science in Hamburg - Helmholtz Graduate School for the Structure of Matter (DASHH), the Leibniz ScienceCampus InterACt (LSC InterACt) and the Center for Data and Computing in Natural Sciences (CDCS) are currently organizing a series of networking events entitled Data Science for Science (DS4S) to enable exchange and networking across disciplines covered in the metropolitan region Hamburg.

Besides the biweekly virtual events, we want to invite you to our on-site events every 4 weeks, which consist of a talk, a networking session and a mini-hackathon afterwards.

What to expect?

We will provide a small, interesting dataset and present a current problem. The goal of the mini-hackathon is to discuss possible solutions in a casual environment in small groups (3-4) and maybe start coding. Further, it is a great opportunity to meet other people from other fields and expand your network.

Some boiler plate code for loading and visualization etc. will be provided in python.

If you want to participate in the mini-hackathon, please register on this site!
