Description
Workshop of the "High Resolution Diffraction" (HighRes) and "Resonant Scattering and Diffraction" (RSD) beamlines at PETRA III (3rd HRRS Workshop)

The "High Resolution Diffraction" (HighRes) and "Resonant Scattering and Diffraction" (RSD) beamlines at the new PETRA III synchrotron will become operational early 2009. The two beamlines will share a sector which is equipped with two canted undulators. Both beamlines will be able to operate completely independently, with the HighRes beamline being the vertical offset beamline and the RSD beamline being the straight beamline. In the workshop, first the current planning status of the sector and the two beamlines will be presented to all participants. Afterwards, the two communities will separate in order to discuss science and further beamline related topics.
