PIER is pleased to announce its next PIER Innovation Lunch Talk "Active X-Ray Optics: from lab to spin-off" taking place at the CFEL (bldg. 99), seminar room 1, on September 29th, 2022, 12 noon – 1:30 p.m.
Our speaker this time is Dr. Peter Gaal, scientist at the Leibniz-Institut für Kristallzüchtung (IKZ) in Berlin and co-founder of TXproducts, a spin-off from the X-Ray Optics group at IKZ, founded in close cooperation with DESY in April 2021. TXproducts is based at the DESY Innovation Village. It develops and commercializes Active X-Ray Optics for adapting the time structure of synchrotron radiation specifically for experiments at large-scale research facilities.
Peter will share his experience in founding a science-based startup and developing scientific ideas into marketable products. Make sure to seize the opportunity and learn from the insights Peter and his co-founder Daniel have gained since starting the company 1.5 years ago!
After the talk, we'll be pleased to welcome you to an informal get-together with free refreshments and snacks where you will have the chance for further discussion and networking with like-minded fellow researchers.
