Abstract: In this presentation, I will discuss tameness as a finiteness principle that can be applied to a variety of physical systems. Specifically, I will introduce the concept of tame geometry and explore its application to both perturbative and non-perturbative quantum field theories. Through an examination of solvable models, I will gather evidence to support tameness as a swampland criterion, and put forth precise conjectures regarding the tameness of amplitudes, as well as the space of QFTs and CFTs.
