With the start of the O4 LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA observing run in May 2023, we expect to enter a new period of GW and multimessenger discoveries. On the occasion of the ZTF collaboration meeting in Berlin, we will hold a two day workshop to review the preparation for the O4 LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA observing run. The workshop will be held in the Festsaal of the Humboldt University of Berlin in the city center.
Scientific Programme
- Gravitational wave alerts
- Electromagnetic signatures of GW events
- Advanced search strategies
- Tools relevant for searches, follow-up and interpretations
- Follow-up resources & organization
- Related phenomena & source classes (e.g. GRB, transients in AGN discs)
- Selected developments for future runs
