Description
Very light and feebly interacting new particles are predicted in a range of well-motivated scenarios beyond the Standard Model and can be candidates for Dark Matter. In order to make their effects detectable, novel approaches are in demand. In this talk, I will show how atomic clocks as quantum sensors constrain light new bosons that interact with the nucleus and electrons. In addition, I will present a recent proposal on how to measure the impact of a high-frequency Gravitational Wave on a photon via optical frequency modulation.
