The HIKEC is an annual conference of the top innovators of Siemens Healthineers, all participants have a technical (engineering), natural science (physics, chemistry), medical or computer-science background. Most hold a PHD.
Siemens Healthineers is one of the world market leaders in medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, clinical IT solutions and medical infrastructure. With a global workforce of about 70000 employees, we offer solutions in the areas of classical medical imaging (like planar X-Ray imaging, computer tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, as well as molecular diagnostic systems like PET and SPECT). In addition, we offer therapy solutions like angiography systems. Important other business includes laboratory diagnostics and the newly acquired Varian business area, with its broad portfolio in the cancer care field.
All these activities are extremely technology and innovation driven. We have therefore many scientists and engineers within our company, who are supported by an own career path – the KeyExperts. The KeyExperts gather annually at a conference, the Healthcare International Key Expert Conference (HIKEC). We are glad and grateful that many of the about 450 KeyExperts announced globally will be at this year’s HIKEC at DESY.
