There are several canteens and cafeterias on campus (see menu here), which are open to everybody, but they only accept payment by a dedicated app.
Other options on campus (for which you probably need cash) are:
- Diwan Restaurant (Johann-Joachim-Becher-Weg 23a)
- Bali Bistro Mainz (Staudingerweg 21)
- Baron Restaurant (Johann-Joachim-Becher-Weg 3)
Especially for the lunch on Thursday starting from the Alte Mensa, you can also go downtown by tram or bus, where you find many possible restaurants, cafes or take-aways.
Just outside of campus, there is also the Greek Restaurant Plaka (Albert-Schweitzer-Straße 19).
