Description

While the pion, eta and and eta' transition from factors are key inputs in the calculation of the hadronic light-by-light contribution to the muon g-2 (the pseudoscalar-pole exchange diagram is the dominant contribution in the dispersive framework) little is known for the eta and eta' transition form factor (TFF), especially in the kinematical range of interest for the muon g-2. In this talk, I will present a lattice calculation of the eta and eta' transition form factors, directly at the physical pion mass, using rooted staggered quarks. I will also discuss the role of the light pseudoscalar meson TFFs in the hadronic light-by-light contribution to the muon g-2 and compare our results with previous works.
