On 17 January (the day before the start of the EURIZON final meeting) we are offering a guided tour to ELI ERIC.
Please note: The tour to NPI CAS had to be cancelled due to too few participants.
The tour will start on Wednesday, 17 January 2024 at 16:00.
We have a bus transport from Prague city centre to ELI and back to Prague city centre.
The bus transport to ELI starts at the street “U Bruskych Kasaren” (see attached file). There is a car park on this street where the bus will be waiting for us. You can reach the meeting point (U Bruskych Kasaren street) by public transport. The closest station is “Malostranská”. You can reach this station by subway (line A), bus (line 194) or tram (line 1, 2, 12, 15, 18, 20, 22, 23, 97).
The bus transport to ELI will start at 16:00. Please be prepared to arrive on time.
The transport to ELI will take about 30 minutes.
At ELI we will have a guided tour of the facility. The tour will last about 90 minutes.
Please note the ELI VISITOR GUIDELINES:
Footwear: It is strongly recommended that you wear solid platform shoes rather than heels.
Clothing: It is recommended to opt for trousers as opposed to skirts or dresses, as protective clothing such as lab coats or overalls is mandatory when visiting the laser and experimental halls. Protective clothing also includes hair and beard covers, goggles, gloves and shoe covers (provided by ELI).
After the tour, the bus will take us back to the city centre of Prague. The bus will stop in Prague at “Resslova street“.
Dinner on 17 January at 20:00:
You have all registered for the dinner on 17 January. The dinner will take place at Pivovar Stare Mesto (https://www.pivovarstaremesto.cz/; Address: U Dobřenských 3).
The stop of the bus at “Resslova street“ is arround 1km walking distance to the restaurant (see attached file). We invite you to walk to the restaurant.
The dinner starts at 20:00. We may arrive at the restaurant a little earlier. We cordially invite you to enjoy a drink before the dinner.
