Description

In the past especially trap experiments using the GSI-developed and LabVIEW based CS framework were dependent on NIs FPGA cards for precise experimental control (PPG) and data acquisition (TDC).
But since LabVIEW is more or less abandoned at GSI, we had to look for alternatives for the future. The MUPPET board based on a Xilinx ARTIX-7 FPGA allows the connection of up to 16 programmable LEMO in- and outputs (can be multiplied with extension boards).
The presentation will give an overview of the self-made hardware and focus on the already developed software.
