SciCat migration of FLASH instance
Noel reported on his experience from the migration.
He made a backup of the data first, then tested migration. He prepared himself to be able to go back to setup of the old BE, but this was not needed in the end.
Internally, SciCat attributes a unique ID to each entry in the database to organise the migration.
Feedback from FLASH perspective: very satisfied how the migration was performed thanks to Noel and Jan K, worry about missing documentation.
Status: FLASH migration is done. P08 old BE migration is very soon envisaged – Florian confirmed that now during shut down is the ideal time for such an undertaking.
Conclusion:
- May expect within a week or so the migration of P08.
- Documentation of Noels work will be addressed in detail in the first week of April (confirmed by 2/3).
