Meeting ID: 655 7061 5293

Passcode: 807878

Participants:
Sebastian Mueller, Stefan Wagner, Christiane Schneide, Baida Achkar, Michael Zacharias

1) nfdi.software:
MZ gave a status report about the effort to combine various software search engines developed in NFDI into one base service.
SW: Is PUNCH involved in any other base proposal/service?
CS: Only in IAM4NFDI. Asked MZ to report to the MB.
Is an LoS needed? Maybe not anymore, but must be found out.

2) NFDI calls
Section calls will come up in April where of the speakers of the initial 4 sections have to be elected.

3) Discussion on calendar tool
General consensus that we need a tool that can be easily used and edited by all PUNCH members in order to fill it with more information than "just" PUNCH internal calls, but also with NFDI-wide calls (public, sections, working groups, etc). But as some NFDI calls (eg sections) are not public, visibility of the tool should be restricted to PUNCH members only.
CS: Concerning Indico, at this moment it is not easily editable, as it does not communicate well with the AAI. User management must still be done manually, which is way write access is limited (resulting in situations where people need to ask others to add their calls). We could discuss with the DESY Indico people how one could set up an easy communication with Indico through its API. Note that the Indico calendar is technically public!
SW: We should also look out for solutions beyond Indico (inquire within PUNCH if such a tool is known). As long as it is easily manageable. The EB discussed this situation, but there was no decision.

4) Forum
We should make the Forum available to the outside world by a) removing "ping/pong", b) fill it with some questions/answers, c) check if there is a "Data Privacy Statement" for users to read, d) find a suitable host server that is not Ramin's private server (maybe at DESY? LSW?), and e) advertise (see also below).
CS will find out if we have a dedicated host server for such tools (eg at DESY).

5) Advertisement of our results
There are several ways to advertise our results to the world: "News section" on the webpage, the PUNCH newsletter, NFDI newsletter, Mastodon, NFDI-wide Email (but maybe not the best choice).
MZ will work on a proposal how people should approach this, when their new result/service/etc is finished. That is, once this is placed on the results page, how do you propagate the link to the public?

6) AoB
