Description

The ΛCDM cosmological model is occasionally challenged due to several reports of anomalously large motions of matter at larger scales in the universe. In this talk, I will present new estimates of bulk flows, the average motion of matter relative to the Cosmic Microwave Background, based on a dataset of about 850 ZTF Type Ia supernovae. The results show a shared motion towards the Great Attractor at nearby scales, aligning with prior studies. Substantial bulk flows are measured up to the Shapely supercluster (SSC), but uncertainties preclude any claim of tension with ΛCDM. Beyond the SSC, up to redshift 0.1, no significant bulk flow is detected, in accordance with the model.
