Conference Venue and Directions

The ESSnuSB+ annual meeting will be held in the main building of the University of Hamburg in Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1, 20146 Hamburg, Germany.

The sessions (parallel) will take place in four lecture halls in the West Wing of the main building:

  • ESA W 120 (40 Seats)
  • ESA W 121 (56 Seats)
  • ESA W 122 (36 Seats)
  • ESA W 222 (36 Seats)

Plus a main halls ESA H and ESA W 221 for the plenary sessions

Public transportation

Train and subway:

S-Bahn (rapid transit): Trains S2 (red line) and S5 (blue line) take ca. 3 minutes from Hamburg Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) to get to Dammtor Train Station (University main campus).

RE-Bahn (regular train): Trains EC6, EC7, EC8 and RE7 are long distance trains, i.e. coming from other cities from within Germany, also take ca. 3 minutes to arrive to Dammtor station from Hamburg main train station

From Hamburg Airport: Take S-Bahn (rapid train) S1 (green line) to the main trains station, then change to S2 or S5.

U-Bahn (subway train): take U1 direction Farmsen, to Stephansplatz (Oper/CCh) station. From Stephansplatz (Oper/CCH) station you will walk ca. 900 m to the university main building.

Bus:

The 4, 5, 19, 603, 604 and 605 buses go directly to the University (bus stop: "Dammtor (Messe/CCH)"). They all about 240 m (ca. 3 minutes walking) from the university main building, i.e. the conference venue. 

Tickets

Transportation within Hamburg: All bus, S-Bahn and U-Bahn tickets for Hamburg great area can be purchased directly from the HVV website (I very much recommend checking this website).

Transportation within Germany and Europe: All long distance Trains can be purchased directly from the Deutschebahn website

Car:

The address is mentioned above, however, due to limited parking availability, we strongly recommend taking public transportation!
