Description

A permanently running energy measurement has been implemented at BESSY II for several years. This measurement is based on the resonant spin depolarization of the electron beam. In order to move towards long-term energy stability and to be able to use the method for the determination of the momentum compensation factor, the present measurement time of almost 4 hours should be significantly shortened. Therefore, the method was systematically investigated to optimize the measurement. The examination has shown different parameters which can be optimized for a faster measurement.
