Description
Each year, DESY offers students from around the world the opportunity to participate in a two-month program, working on various projects within different research groups. This year, the Scientific Computing group offered three projects focused on data challenges. The first project involved redesigning a monitoring dashboard for ASAP::O, a data streaming platform that manages the transfer of experimental data to storage systems. The second project centered on the development of custom authentication plugins using Python for dCache, DESY's primary storage solution. The third project, part of the EU "Research Facility 2.0" initiative, focused on analyzing opportunities to reduce CO2 emissions within DESY's computing center. These 3 sub projects and how they are interconnected, will be presented in this poster.
