RH gave a summary of SciCatCON,

 

reporting from other facilities

• work on integration of SciCat

• use Kubernetes for administration

• ask themselves similar questions/deal with similar or same problems: scope of scicat, reproducibility

 

highlighting the focus of DESY for this year:

1. prototyping DOI server

2. “little” issues

3. towards production: define our KPIs/installation of monitoring tools for large scale setup

 

and highlighting the DESY involvement for the next SciCat releases:

• Igor K for “visualisation/plugin” project: leader to be identified.

• Linus P for metadata validation/web-ingestor, led by Spencer Bliven

• RH for SDK development and openAPIs, led by Frederic Poitier

 

 

Updates:

• New ID mode now in place at P08 (or any PETRA beamline that uses Jans ingestor), shall be standard for all DESY beamlines?

• SciCat-users-to-be-interviewed wanted. The outcome will be used for the new FE user interface release. Decide til Mid September 2024.
