DESY 2030 / Woodstock Strategy Meeting
Following the DESY strategy loop, the DESY Directorate has decided to continue the close dialogue with the leadership level of the lab by hosting regular annual meetings. The aim of these meetings is to bring together key personnel from all divisions in order to strengthen exchange about strategical issues and the internal communication.
The upcoming meeting will start with a networking reception and a brief overview by Helmut Dosch and Arik Willner. At the core of the exchange, we will have four moderated fishbowl discussions on these five themes:

Concept of Moderated Fishbowl Discussions
- The themes will each be discussed in a dedicated half hour fishbowl session.
- Fishbowl sessions are moderated.
- Each session starts with an introduction by the respective director (5 minutes).
- Three preselected discussants open the discussion round.
- Participants invited to take part in discussion of inner fishbowl circle by taking up a free chair.
Participants
Leadership level of the laboratory as a sounding board for DESY’s strategic goals. In particular the participants are the members of the DESY directorate, lead scientists, members of the Scientific Committee and invited DESY staff in responsible positions. In addition to last year’s group of participants, colleagues from infrastructure groups participated in the Deep Dive Workshops will complement us this year.
Further participants must be nominated by their division directors.
The meeting is organised by the Directorates Office (DIB) with support from the Scientific Committee (WA) under the guidance of the Directorate.
