Career options for Scientists: Academia, industry, business or science management?
If you’re thinking about the time after your PhD or during/after your postdoc phase, here’s a great event for you: “Career Days 2025: Academia, industry, business or science management?”.
On January 21-22, 2025 you will have the chance to get an overview on various career paths and career opportunities for scientists.
The first day will start with keynote talks on career paths of scientists. After lunch, you can join round table sessions (s. attached file below) with numerous professionals from various ocupational areas, most of them alumni with a doctorate from University of Hamburg. In about 18 parallel sessions, you will get the chance to discuss their career paths and to ask questions and get career advice. You will gain insights on career orientation and entrepreneurial thinking in a relaxed and informal setting.
On the second day you may particpate in a brief online-input on "career paths and decison-making in science" and further get the chance to receive personal coaching, get your CV checked and to take advantage of individual third-party funding advice.
Please note: The places are limited – early registration is strongly recommended. Allocation of the available places/time slots follows the "first come, first served" principle. The round table slots will be assigned after the registration deadline on 12 January 2025. Until you receive a final confirmation, your registration is pending.
