Information for artists
If you would like to participate as an artist, please register. Anyone working or studying on the DESY campus (or Science City Bahrenfeld more generally) is very welcome to join.
By default, we will provide one side of 5 poster walls (A0 size, portrait) to each participants (see image below).
There is however no requirements on the art form, art size or number of pieces. If you would prefer a different amount of space, or a different type of space (e.g. for sculpture), please let us know in the registration form. We will do our best to make everyone's art shine!
Participants are responsible to install and remove their art. It will possible to install piece starting on Monday, April 7, until the start of the vernissage on April 8. We hope that the artists will be present during the vernissage. We will show the art from Tuesday 8 evening, until Friday 11 afternoon.
Note that the exhibition will not be watched (except on Tuesday evening), and we can not be held responsible for the safety of the displayed pieces.
In principle, any subject is allowed, with only few rules:
- Do not add price tag to your pieces. You are welcome to discuss trading your art during the exhibition, but for boring legal reasons, the piece can not officially be on sale.
- Nudity is allowed, but please include representation of both genders.
- Displaying your art should (obviously) not break any law. In particular, pornography or racist content is not welcome.
Finally, we ask all participant to bring an A4 description of themselves, with a picture. The idea is to allow the public to find the creator of the pieces they are looking at, and encourage discussion with them. You are welcome, but not required, to include contact information and links to personal pages or gallery to it.
