Highlighting research across disciplines and institutions - join us for a networking day on the Bahrenfeld Campus!
We warmly invite all female doctoral and postdoctoral researchers across Hamburg to half a day of networking, inspiration, and science. Share your research in a 5-minute flash talk, give and receive feedback (optional but recommended... :-)), connect with fellow scientists, and enjoy a relaxed lunch reception together.
We’re delighted that Dr. Zehra Sayers will be joining us as moderator of the event. She will also give an introductory talk on her experience in presenting science to different scientific and non-scientific audiences around the world. Zehra's research has taken her across the globe, including to institutes such as EMBL Hamburg and King's College Medical School, London. Since 1998, she has been a founding faculty member at Sabanci University (Turkey), where she played a key role in launching the Biological Sciences and Bioengineering program and establishing its laboratories. Dr. Sayers is also internationally recognized for her leadership in science diplomacy, particularly through her long-standing involvement with the SESAME synchrotron project in the Middle East.
To apply for a flash talk slot, please include:
- The title of your talk, your scientific field and whether you'd like to receive personalized feedback on your presentation
- Confirmation of slots will be sent shortly after the registration deadline.
