Anna Franckowiak - Search for high-energy neutrino searches in realtime

Description
High-energy neutrinos are the smoking gun signature of hadronic acceleration. IceCube detected a diffuse flux of high-energy neutrinos in 2013, but the sources of this flux are still mostly unknown. One promising way towards identifying the neutrino sources is through detecting their electromagnetic counterpart. For transient or variable sources, such a counterpart search has to be performed in realtime.
In my talk, I will present the IceCube realtime program including recent significant improvements and show first results of counterpart searches as well as future prospects.
