• Intro : Meeting bi weekly Monday at 10 AM
• What is the reason for sharing the beam pipe in ELBEX between x-ray photons and electrons? x-ray tube has to go laser straight from mirror to XTD8, in XTD8 tunnel will go anyway through LUXE setup (4.5m diameter tunnel, x-ray axis 1.4m above tunnel floor) our baseline stays electrons and x-rays in same beam tube
• Do we have a concept of a final dump? Yes, work in progress by INFN Padova meeting ELBEX requirements (currently foresee 50 b at 10 Hz at 40GeV because of Plasma energy doubling)

 

Roundtable:

 

ICS simulation (Daniel): No news, makes sense to re-run sim once beam parameters at updated location are available

Geant 4 simulation (Sasha): makes sense to re-run simulation only when final adapted beamline geometry is clear (-> alternative to TDC magnets?), important to do studies of RP dose rates (->new student at DESY ?)

Fastsim (Ruth): - No progress on Xsuite (-> follow-up with Raquel on NPOD)

Tracker (Noam): - experience at E320 shows that alignment is crucial
                              - should revisit Background simulations for LUXE
                              - Tracking software in LUXE software release?

                     

NPOD (Raquel, Noam, Federico, Ivo): - NPOD paper being reviewed
                                                                   - Federico and Ivo studied NPOD-like setups at future colliders, should discuss using full physics package in G4 for full background estimate
