Description
The anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, aμ , is an important quantity to test the Standard Model. The highly precise experimental and theoretical determination of aμ leads to a discrepancy of 3 to 4σ. This deviation could be explained by contributions of the MSSM. To be competitive to the high accuracy of the experiment, in particular the future improved measurements, and the SM theory prediction, also high accuracy of the MSSM theory prediction is necessary. Therefore, two-loop corrections to aμ need to be evaluated.
I present recent updates on this issue, in particular corrections to MSSM one-loop diagrams by a closed fermion–sfermion–loop. I introduce the class of Feynman diagrams and explain some details of their renormalisation. Finally, I show numerical results for interesting parts of the MSSM parameter space.
