Description
I will discuss the importance of the resummation of threshold logarithms (arising from soft gluon emission) for Higgs production in gluon fusion at the LHC. I will show that threshold resummation is actually expected to be relevant, even if the process is typically very far from threshold. We will see that this is mainly due to the shape of the gluon PDF at small-x. I will therefore discuss the resummation of small-x logarithms (arising from hard gluon emission) and present a preliminary investigation of its effect to the Higgs production.
