with this mail we would like to give you a few informations for your talk
at the "Workshop on Beam Energy and Polarisation Measurement at the ILC"
in Zeuthen next week.
* The agenda is linked from the workshop page or can be found directly at
http://indico.desy.de/conferenceTimeTable.py?confId=585
* Talk titles are mostly our "guess" -> please send you favoured title
to jenny.list@desy.de.
* The time slots for each talk comprise ~40% for DISCUSSION.
So if your slot has 30 minutes, you should plan for 15...20 minutes
presentation and the rest for discussion.
* All speakers SHOULD have the permission to upload their talks - and
possibly additional documents they would like to make available -
to the agenda. However the ways of indico are sometimes peculiar,
so if it doesn't work, just complain to jenny.list@desy.de.
* Please upload your transparencies WELL BEFORE your talk. Since we
are having the whole meeting as a phone / webex conference, the talks
should be available on the web for everybody before the start of the
talk and not only afterwards.
* The GDE has addressed us with many questions on their search for cost
savings. One of the goals of the workshop is to work out and to DOCUMENT
our answers these questions. Therefore we would like to ask you to write
proceedings for your talk. The collection of proceedings will serve as
supplementing information for an "Executive Summary" document, which we
plan to "sketch" at the workshop and to finalize and to send it of to the GDE shortly after.
* A tar-archive conatining tex style file and an example file can be downloaded here.
We would like to keep your effort at a minimum, so we don't request more than two pages -
but there is no upper limit, you are welcome to write more! ;)
* You are welcome to write the proceedings even at the workshop in the
"free" mornings and to give the pdf-file to us directly in Zeuthen.
