To DESY from Hotel Mercure
Do not use the DESY side entrance (Luruper Chaussee)! Since this week, the entrance has been cut off from the main campus by a huge construction site.
Instead, walk southwards to the large square in front of the Trabrennbahn stadium, turn right into Notkestraße and walk for a few hundred meters to DESY main entrance. You can also take bus line 1 (Schenefeld/Rissen) for two stops from Bahrenfeld/Trabrennbahn to DESY/Hünengrab.
To DESY from Altona
From Altona station, take bus line 1 (Schenefeld/Rissen). After 15 minutes, you will reach the stop DESY/Hünengrab which is at the DESY main entrance.
Meeting venue on Wednesday: Building (Gebäude) 1, Seminar Room 1.
From the main entrance, walk straight until you reach the roundabout. Turn left, and walk for about 100 m. Building 1 will be on your right. The seminar room is on the ground floor.
Meeting venue on Thursday: Building 1b, Seminar Room 3.
As for Building 1, but pass by the entrance and turn right at the next cross-roads. Building 1b will be the 3rd entrance on your right.
From DESY to Gröninger Brewery (Willy-Brandt-Str. 47)
Enter bus line 1 (Altona). Go for two stops to the bus stop Trabrennbahn/Bahrenfeld. There, change into bus line 3 (Speicherstadt). Go for 20 minutes to stop Brandstwiete. From there, go on to Willy-Brandt-Str. and turn left without crossing the street. Gröninger will be on your left.
From Altona to Gröninger Brewery
Use line S3 (Stade) to go to Jungfernstieg station. Change into line U1 (Ohlstedt) and exit at Meßberg. Try to exit on the south of Willy-Brandt-Str. and walk along it for about 5 minutes to the west (direction to Altona). Gröninger will appear on your left.
