Description
Abstract: The next generation of long-baseline neutrino oscillation facilities will allow us to measure the parameters which govern neutrino oscillation more accurately than ever before. This will permit us to not only settle a couple of outstanding unknowns, but also to address new questions, beyond those that are traditionally focused upon. In this talk, I will present an example of such an analysis: the ability for next generation oscillation experiments to constrain a class of models which exhibit discrete flavour symmetries in the leptonic sector. I will show that questions of this type can be well addressed at a next-generation facility, and offer a good theoretical motivation for measurements with increased precision.
