Description

The 5th "Introduction to Terascale Physics" will take place from 17 to 21 March at DESY, Hamburg. The school comprises lectures on basic and advanced LHC topics, on non-LHC experiments, and a tutorial over four half-days covering basic object reconstruction, reconstruction of simple final states, reconstruction of top final states and searches for new physics. During the tutorials, many techniques will be taught and experienced that will be beneficial for a successful bachelor or master thesis.
The intended audience are bachelor and master students with a strong background in particle physics. Some programming experience is helpful.
