Arriving by plane:
Best fly into Munich Airport. From there, take the regional train S8 to München Ost station. The journey takes approx. 40 minutes (S1 is also possible, but takes slightly longer). At München Ost catch a train destined for Salzburg and get off at Prien.
The walk from Prien station to Prien ferry terminal will take you approx. 20 minutes (distance: 1.9 km). Travelling time by ferry is approx. 25 minutes.

We don't recommend travelling by car due to the lack of car parking facilities. However, if you plan to come by car, we suggest, you drive into Gstadt and try to find a parking spot there. The crossing from Gstadt to Fraueninsel only takes approx. 5 minutes.
Once you get to the island, make your way to the monastery.
