This workshop is a continuation of three previous workshops on fourth-generation quarks (link1, link2). This time the focus of the workshop is on vector-like heavy quarks.
The workshop brings together theorists and experimentalists to review the status after the first run of the LHC and to plan ahead for the next run in 2015. We want to shed light on new search strategies and topologies that may become relevant at higher energies.
As the excluded mass ranges increase, the mode of single production of VL quarks starts to dominate over pair production, which implies a more complicated interpretation of results due to a stronger model dependence. The workshop will try to give an overview of the growing landscape of models and investigate model-independent approaches for the interpretation of the results of ATLAS and CMS.
