Workshop: High Intensity Laser Matter Science at The HED Instrument at The European XFEL

Europe/Berlin
Seminar room E01.173 (European XFEL, Schenefeld)

Seminar room E01.173

European XFEL, Schenefeld

Holzkoppel 4, 22869 Schenefeld, Germany
Description
The workshop will include few invited talks, contribution talks and poster sessions if we receive enough contributions. Please note that due to limited availability the organizing committee reserves the right to select contributions. The scientific topics covered include:
o properties of highly-excited solids
o high energy density states of matter
o probing QED effects
o ionization dynamics at high intensities
o relativistic laser plasma interaction
o energetic particle propagation in matter
o the production of secondary high energy photon and particle radiation sources
o application laser driven radiation sources for material, biological and medical sciences. short-pulse laser-driven backlighters for HED experiments at XFEL.
o XFEL probing of high intensity laser matter Interactions (e.g., X-ray Thomson Scattering, Small Angle X-ray Scattering, Coherent X-ray Diffraction Imaging, X-ray Faraday Rotation, X-Ray Diffraction, X-ray Absorption Spectroscopies…)
