Main workshop location: DESY Hamburg, Building 1b, Seminar Room 4a/4b
HTCondor office hours: Close to the main location.
Registration and receipt
Open Tuesday from 12:30, and during the workshop.
You will receive your receipt. If you have not yet paid the conference fee, you can do so in cash.
There is an ATM in the basement of the DESY canteen (building 9).

Transportation
There are two bus stops close to DESY:
"Zum Hühnengrab (DESY)" close to the main gate. (closest to the workshop venue)
"Luruper Chaussee (DESY)" close to the side gate. (some 10 minutes walk)
Attention: The stop "Zum Hühnengrab (DESY)" is currently only being served in one direction.

Taxi: When leaving DESY using a taxi, it is advisable to contact the main gate ( +49-40-8998-3333 )
Breaks, Lunch, Evenings
We serve coffee and cookies during breaks and before the sessions.
Lunch is served in the DESY canteen (bldg. 9), and is not included in the conference fee.
A welcome reception will take place on Tuesday at 19:00 in the DESY canteen (bldg. 9).
The social event will take place on Thursday. A hand-out will be distributed with more information.
You will receive an wristband for the social event. Please do not forget to bring it along!
Hostel
Please take note the check-in is only possible after 14:00. If you arrive on Tuesday, you can bring your luggage to the workshop venue (unfortunatelly, we cannot provide locker).
After office hours, the key for your room can be retrieved from the guards at the main gate (open 24/7).
Internet on Campus
Most (if not all) buildings on DESY campus are equipped with WLAN.
EDUROAM should be used if possible.
Otherwise, you can register for DESY-GUEST: You must enter a valid email adress. A link is sent to this adress, and you have 5 minutes to confirm the email adress by clicking on the link.
Visit of the DESY Computing Center
For those interested, we will provide "ad-hoc" tours on Wednesday and Thursday right after the last morning session.
They will last ~30 minutes, and should leave enough time for lunch in the canteen before the afternoon sessions of the workshop.
No registration, please follow the instructions of the guide who will identify himself after the morning session.
